Welcome to English 289! Since this class is about writing and communication, it seems appropriate for you and I to communicate our ideas on language in multiple ways. One major way we will do this is by each creating and maintaining an online archive of our work (a blog), one that consistently considers how we create and communicate meaning, by reflecting on our own writing as well as others'. So, let's talk!
I teach English at the University of Cincinnati, watch a bunch TV (mostly on DVD because I am too cheap for cable) & some movies, read, write, talk a whole lot about language, and am tickled when I can fuse all those things into one.
